Elemental Dragons, once allied, are clashing and ruthlessly destroying everything, one sanctuary at a time. And rumors begin to spread that the Black Elf has returned and is raising a new army that could well mean another War of Anarchy. The only way to stop the chaos is for Zakaisia, a white tiger Vorshen, to return the eyes of the most potent Goddess to the Realm of Ice, her birthplace. Forced to ally with malicious women of dark races and traitorous intentions, Zakaisia clings to her family as she struggles not to relive her past; the murders; the blood; and her former allegiance to the evil and formidable Black Elf. Zakaisia must fulfill the prophecy to restore the Elements to their place in the great pentacle. She leaves the sanctity of her city to cross many hostile Realms before reaching the Realm of Ice. Along with her niece and a small group; they attempt to return what was never theirs to the Ice Goddess. As long as no Elementals, including her Goddess, discover what they have concealed in a sealed chest, peace can once again reign over the worlds. But for each Realm they cross, and every Element they defend themselves against, Zakaisia's burden becomes greater and more perilous then even she had feared.

"Wisdom for the Journey," is an inspiring collection of true life scenarios. Ellen Shuck shows that life is indeed a journey filled with bumps, and unpredictable perils and pitfalls. Yet in spite of the unpleasant and seemingly insurmountable obstacles that you encounter, life is filled with mountain tops, joy and promise as well. "One can never give up," says Shuck. She writes in a style that is both serious and meaningful, but also interesting and filled with hope. She stirs your curiosity and her stories and bits of wisdom inspire you to keep on reading. They are lessons in motivation, endurance and the resiliency of human beings. Rather than presenting a dull wordy manuscript, Shuck has broken each life lesson into a brief section. Each story has a moral that you haven't thought of before. She presents her valuable insights, gleaned from life, in a way that everyone can relate to them. Shuck's morsels of wisdom keep the reader clamoring for more. She writes a newspaper column and people who read them cut them out and save them to refer back to, to use as devotionals and to send to others who benefit from them. Many, who are depressed, have found solace merely from reading Shuck's reflections that are spiritual, psychological, and down to earth. God plays a major role is Shuck's outlook on life. She offers insights into why things happen and how you can best deal with them." Wisdom for the Journey" is a valuable tool for living a happier life and understanding that everything happens for a reason. She talks about how everyone can have true happiness and presents a formula for happiness. Shuck delves into discussions of death, work, and loving yourself--to giving someone a dream. Her reflections and stories appeal to all ages and walks of life. Shuck draws from life experience and her background and education in psychology, spirituality/religion and philosophy. If you need a boost, more insight or an interesting read, this book is for you. People have encouraged Shuck to write a book, so here it is.

Wisdom For The Journey

Wisdom For The Journey

Years go by without a completed manuscript. It seems like the write-a-book dream had faded. Then one day when I least expect it, the “write-a-book dream” returns—resuscitated and stronger than ever.

Wisdom for the Journey culminates years of periodic, miscellaneous writing. My desire to write spills over from my love for reading. Between reading fascinating books and creating writing projects, I began to say “Someday, I’ll write a book.” “Someday” dragged on into years. I finally chose a book title and began to write. Pages of dated manuscript—filed away in folders—attest to my periodic bouts of writing. Years go by without a completed manuscript. It seems like the write-a-book dream had faded. Then one day when I least expect it, the “write-a-book dream” returns—resuscitated and stronger than ever. I hear a voice in my spirit say “You have a book, books to write before you sleep. You must begin to write now!” Immediately I am moved to start over again, and to forget the manuscript I had toyed around with for so long. Wisdom for the Journey is the title that erupts from that voice. With it comes a mandate, “Go all the way this time—on to a published book. Suddenly, my self-talk is activated and I say to myself “Here I go again—back to the writing track. How many times have I been here before? I must not allow history to repeat itself again” When the self-talk stops, I realize that I need some way to ensure that I stay on course, keep procrastination away, and finish the book this time. The idea floods my mind that making a writing vow to God would give me assurance. I search the Bible for wisdom on making vows. Many people of the Bible have made them. Some of their vows have been foolishly made and produced unfavorable consequences. The eleventh chapter of Judges records such a vow. Jephthah, a great warrior, made a vow that results in the death of his only child. Not wanting to make a mistake, I search the scriptures for more wisdom. Scriptures teach that: vows are voluntary, but very serious; carry as much force as a written contract ; and are unbreakable. (Deut. 23:21, 23) Wisdom’s bottom line is: If you make a vow to God you must pay it. The Lord demands it. There are no excuses and no exceptions. I carefully consider the biblical cautions and warnings about making a vow. I prayerfully conclude that for me a vow is the assurance I need for getting the book finished. So I make this vow to God. “Every day that you allow me to live, I will write for at least one hour. The writing sessions will continue daily until I have a completed manuscript ready for publishing. Making that vow is the beginning of Wisdom for the Journey. A few months into the writing sessions, painful arthritis and carpal tunnel pain attack my hands and wrists. I begin to think that its okay to quit now. But I recognize that voice as Satan with a “buyout package”. My response to him is “Get behind me Satan ! You must have lost your mind to suggest that I break my vow to God.” I recite biblical scriptures for strength and courage. Galatians 6:9 reminds me that “in due season we shall reap, if we faint not”. In the meantime, wearing arthritic gloves, and carpal tunnel wrist braces, I continue to write as I seek more wisdom. I apply Romans 4:17 to the situation that says “Call those things which be not as though they were.” And the wisdom of Job 22:28 that says “Thou shall also decree a thing and it shall be established unto thee.” So believing and trusting God, I pray. Then I declare and decree that: “As I continue to write the manuscript my hands are healed and strengthened, and I am anointed and empowered to finish writing the book.” The daily writing sessions continue as planned; the manifestation takes place as decreed; and Wisdom for the Journey is completed, fulfilling the writing vow I made to God.

Every devotional is filled with the promises, encouragement, and enlightenment of our Loving Heavenly Father. These are the spiritual tools that will sustain us as we walk through the fiery furnaces, fierce storms, and dark uncertainties which the devil places in our lives; and is designed to give us powerful words of wisdom so that we may prepare ourselves for the future. Today is the beginning of the rest of our lives, yesterday is gone, so we must live in the moment and prepare for the future. We must not run and hide but gird ourselves with the armor of God that will enable us to stand tall and see the Glory of the Lord. We can be victorious, through Christ, and make a difference in this world. We can be like David and run toward our enemy with the boldness of Christ as we receive His Wisdom for the Journey. COURAGE FOR THE JOURNEY assembles a collection of wisdom to ignite courage, hope, and strength in those caught in the inevitable storms of life. In his 1965 masterpiece I Had Trouble in Getting to Solla Sollew, Dr. Seuss observed, "And I learned there are troubles of more than one kind. Some come from ahead and some come from behind." Adversities arise in all shapes and sizes. The death of a loved one, divorce, business failure, job loss, health issues, and natural disasters are only but a few examples. None of us is immune from the life events that can shake or even obliterate our foundations. Personal disasters leave us dazed and shell-shocked. We find ourselves standing in the rubble of our lives, wondering how to move forward and what to do next. Winston Churchill asserted, "If you are going through Hell, keep going!" This is sage advice for anyone in distress. The question is how, when you have totally lost direction, do you "keep going?" When fear, discouragement, failure, loss, and regret have taken firm root in the gardens of our heart, mind, and soul, how do you vanquish them? During adversity, attitude will always dictate outcome. The key to overcoming any obstacle is to tune out the negative noise of the storm and society in general. The positive emotions of courage, faith, hope, perseverance, and peace contain far greater power than negative emotions. COURAGE FOR THE JOURNEY explores strategies for: * Finding courage and faith in place of fear * Finding hope and perseverance in place of discouragement * Finding opportunity and choice in place of failure * Finding clarity and accepting change in place of loss * Finding recovery, reinvention, and peace in place of regret

The Journey to Wisdom

The Journey to Wisdom

Author: Paul A. Olson

The Journey to Wisdom addresses a broad array of topics in education, the natural world, and medieval intellectual history. The book examines a philosophy of education that originated with the ancient Greeks and that reached its culmination in the late-medieval and early-Renaissance periods. That philosophy of education promotes a journey to wisdom, involving an escape from pure subjectivity and ?the seductions of rhetoric? and leading to a profound awareness of the natural world and ?nature?s God.? It grants us a renewed sense of education as a self-directed, transforming journey to knowledge and insight?rather than (as is so often the case now) as an impersonal, bureaucratized trek that reflects little sense of the ultimate aims of education.øThe volume opens with a discussion of the quarrel in ancient Greece between the Sophists and the so-called ?philosophers??a quarrel, Paul A. Olson writes, ?out of which the [philosophers?] tradition centering education in reality, as opposed to social convention, develops.? Subsequent chapters follow the development of this tradition in the writings of Augustine, Boethius, Dante, Petrarch, Copernicus, Galileo, Kepler, and others. Here Olson refutes several recent theories: that medieval intellectuals helped legitimize technological mastery and exploitation of the environment; that medieval education involved no systematic progress ?toward recognizing the sanctity of creation?; and that all literary works?medieval ones included??are self-referenced,? and therefore that they offer no guidance to a world beyond themselves.øThe Journey to Wisdom will be essential reading for students of ancient, medieval, and Renaissance intellectual history. But in its unmistakably modern concerns about education, the book also speaks to a far wider spectrum of readers. Olson?s study falls into that rarest category of scholarly productions: one that reflects both its author?s profound knowledge of the past and his equally great commitment to the present. That dual commitment accounts for the uncommon insights?and pleasures?offered by this book.

OmniOne Publishing Presents, Wisdom of the First Pure! Part One! The Revised Edition! Wisdom of the First Pure is the prophetic journey of man in spiritual route back to his original home with God. It is the fundamental understanding and clarity of the spirit realm, man's operation between earth and the hierarchies of God, and the original creation of God ultimate purpose. We are the instrument of which divine entrance into supernatural realms and portals can take place. Here's and excerpt from the Wisdom of the First Pure: What does it mean to be original? To be created and intended first of an eccentric nature and to be regarded as the shining resemblance of love, that which has been made by the immutable God whom exits beyond all comprehension. We must understand that the Creation of the world is God's word. The word of God is his first realm and the existence of realms made manifest thereafter. God is the word and the word is Alpha and Omega. Everything that we are has been granted by this very process and to have understanding of such nature would give way to pursuit of the portal. You may ask, what is the portal? The portal is an entryway into god's word.
