The management of infertility using acupuncture is an expanding area of practice and one which is frequently rewarding for TCM acupuncture practitioners. Acupuncture for IVF and Assisted Reproduction has been specially prepared to meet the growing demand for information in this area and draws upon 20 years combined experience of the authors together with the latest evidence from both orthodox medicine and TCM. Richly illustrated and clearly written throughout, the book takes the reader through the anatomy and physiology of reproductive medicine (from both an orthodox and TCM perspective) and explains the underlying basis of orthodox medical fertility tests and investigations. The volume then explores the pathology and aetiology of TCM syndromes and shows how common fertility-related conditions, such as endometriosis and male factor infertility, affect Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART) success rates. It explains in great detail how to take a reproductive medical history and successfully diagnose TCM syndromes. Acupuncture for IVF and Assisted Reproduction also provides guidelines on how to regulate the menstrual cycle in preparation for IVF treatment and shows how lifestyle can affect fertility and ART success rates. Placing a strong emphasis on the practical aspects of patient care, Acupuncture for IVF and Assisted Reproduction contains an abundance of case history templates, algorithmic acupuncture treatment pathways and patient fact sheets and will be ideal for all acupuncture practitioners working in this field. "A must have for the bookshelf of any acupuncturist who is ever called upon to treat fertility issues - if you have room for one book this surely must be it." Reviewed by The Acupuncture Fertility Centre March 2015 "Practitioners of all levels of experience and TCM students should find it compelling reading and an invaluable companion to their learning." Planning to have a baby is an exciting time for any family, but difficulties with conception can quickly turn excitement into anxiety and worry. For 14 percent of couples in the United States, creating a life is not the miraculous experience they expected, but rather one filled with stress, trips to the doctor, and invasive procedures. But infertility treatment doesn’t have to be invasive and distant. In Curing Infertility with Ancient Chinese Medicine, fertility expert Dr. Yaron Seidman teaches couples how to live healthier, more balanced lives and create an environment where a baby can grow without resorting to surgery. Curing Infertility with Ancient Chinese Medicine shows you how it is possible to conceive even when Western medicine has deemed it impossible. Dr. Seidman explains in a clear, concise, and easy-to-follow way how patients can use the Hunyuan Method to dramatically increase their ability to conceive in a healthy, natural way and improve overall health using ancient Chinese herbal medicine. Primarily intended for infertility patients, Curing Infertility with Ancient Chinese Medicine is also aimed at modern Chinese medical practitioners, most of whom lack any training in the classical ways. Inside, Dr. Seidman shows time and time again that it is, in fact, possible to conceive.

Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) is the world's most comprehensive alternative and complementary medicine. With the rising morbidity of serious illnesses like diabetes, infertility, silicosis, etc., there are no highly effective treatments; even though Western medicine has made spectacular advances, this influenced us to seek Chinese medical therapies of health care. This book offers a unique perspective of Chinese medicine theories and therapies. It has practical chapters on diabetes, infertility, silicosis, kidney essence, and a compilation of contraindicated Chinese medicines for pregnancy. TCM is a treasure, and this ancient wisdom should be respected and applied to the modern medical system; it will provide more choices and a wider field of vision for Western medicine at the two cognitive crossroads of East and West.

My Fertility Guide is based on the latest scientific evidence sourced from over 350 research studies. This self-help guide blends modern fact-based research together with the ancient theories of Chinese medicine to deliver a powerful and concise understanding of natural conception. This book contains a lot of in-depth information which will greatly increase your chances of having a baby. By following my simple advice you too can fall pregnant naturally like the thousands of people I have treated. In my experience treating different types of infertility, I’ve found that people require a lot more in-depth information than is often provided in other fertility books. I’ve therefore tried my best to include as much detailed information as possible in my guide, but in a concise and easy-to-understand way. My Fertility Guide explains the menstrual cycle, when ovulation occurs, how to know when you are your most fertile and the best time to try and conceive. It also outlines the various causes of male and female infertility and how to avoid them, from chemicals in the environment, in food, cosmetics and household products to pollution, plastics, heavy metals, pharmaceutical drugs and electromagnetic waves (EMWs). In-depth explanations are given on how to optimise your lifestyle from exercising, work, sleep to clothing, footwear and even baths versus showers all based on the latest cutting-edge research together with the tried and tested theories of Chinese medicine. In addition, Chinese medical imbalances are explained and how you can find yours and fix it to improve your fertility. Pre and post-ovulation fertility diet plans (seeding) are given to enhance hormone levels to maximise natural conception. A vast range of supplement advice sourced from fact-based research is given that can improve both male and female fertility, regulate your hormone levels and increase egg and sperm quality to enhance your fertility potential. Based on the latest scientific research, My Fertility Guide explains how to deal with infertility problems such as irregular menstrual cycles, unexplained infertility, irregular FSH levels, poor egg quality (low AMH levels), endometriosis, PCOS and poor sperm motility and morphology. Advice on aiding natural conception is given based upon research evidence of the beneficial effects of acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicines. Further advice is given on the use of western medical treatments to enhance natural conception, such as ovulation drugs and intra-uterine insemination (IUI). Dr (TCM) Attilio D’Alberto has been treating couples with infertility since 2004, from those with simple to complex fertility issues and has a vast array of knowledge that he delivers in My Fertility Guide. This book is a treasure-trove of information that is invaluable to all couples trying to have a baby. Available in paperback, Kindle and audiobook. Also available in French and German languages. “My husband and I have been trying for a baby for six years... We started a course of acupuncture and a new diet...Then, to my surprise, within six weeks I found out I was pregnant!”- Dr (TCM) Attilio D'Alberto - Bachelor of Medicine (Beijing), BSc (Hons) TCM

This book presents current research on the genetic factors, treatment risk and benefits, and social and psychological consequences of infertility. Topics include the traditional Chinese medicine approach to fertility management; adverse outcomes of assisted reproduction techniques; the impact of follicular fluid components and embryo-endometrial cross-talk on the oocyte quality or embryo viability; iatrogenic damage incurred during fertility treatment upon gamete competence and embryonic viability; genetic factors of male infertility; animal models for studying female infertility; and treatment of endometriosis associated with infertility.

Infertility affects more than 3 million married couples in the United States. This study explored the use of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) for treating female infertility. Surveys queried allopathic practitioners and TCM practitioners regarding their perceived knowledge and use of TCM. The vast majority of allopathic practitioners referred patients to acupuncturists and believed that acupuncture helped patients. The majority of respondents identified a trend for treating female infertility with TCM and Western medical procedures. The majority of respondents supported the concurrent use of allopathic protocols and TCM but did not support the concurrent use of TCM and Chinese Herbal Medicine (CHM). More than 62% of respondents expressed familiarity with clinical studies that used TCM for treating stress, depression, and irregular menstrual cycles. Positive results from evidence-based studies would likely encourage allopathic practitioners to use TCM and adopt a more holistic, collaborative approach for treating female infertility.
