Discover How to Make Beautiful Beaded Jewelry in Just One Day with This Easy to Use Guide 15 Step by Step Earring, Necklace and Bracelet Designs are with detailed images Included Welcome to the amazing world of Bead Making! As some of you know from my other books, this has been a passion of mine for more than 15 years. I'm thrilled that you will allow me to show you how to create several of my earring, bracelet and necklace designs. I'm sure this will help you in your creative process and further your skills in this art form. The pieces presented in this book were inspired by different things, places, people, and events. Sometimes it's the colors of a flower that I think work beautifully together, and other times it's the feeling of something that I'm trying to capture. The type of bead art and jewelry that I make fluctuates a lot depending on what else is going on in my life. After my first child was born, I began making bird's nest jewelry to express this part of my life. When we moved to a ranch, I began making funky art pendants in the shape of owls. An extended visit to my parent's home in Florida inspired me to begin using shells and sea glass in my art. Beaded jewelry is an art form like any other; your inspiration and ideas for color combinations or for unique pieces of your own can come from anywhere. Any of these projects can be used as a stepping off point for a variety of different projects of your creation. All you have to do is start changing the colors, sizes, and materials and see where it takes you. Beads and wire, wire and beads; there are so many different ways that you can combine these two things to form countless pieces of art. Not all of the bead and wire pieces that I make are jewelry, but a lot of it is. I like the idea of not only expressing myself through my art, but then turning it into something functional; a piece that I can wear out and show to the world, or a piece that someone else can wear. Beads come in all shapes, sizes, colors, and materials. You can make your own beads out of clay, wood, shells, pieces, stone, or plastic (some of my favorite beads are made out of little plastic flowers that I drilled holes through). You can also find beads sold anywhere, with many of them reflecting the area they are from, such as stone beads near the mountains and shells near the beach. Making beaded jewelry is easy, fun, and maybe even addicting. Even the tiniest beads add up quickly to become big, full, colorful projects. Start making your own beaded jewelry today, and open up a world of color, creativity, and personal expression that you may not have even knew existed. You will find that with each bead you thread, your passion for this craft will continue to grow. Purchase your copy today!

Weaving tiny glass seed beads into jewelry is an ancient form of jewelry making dating back to early Native Americans and prehistoric African tribes. Today, "seed beading," also known as "bead weaving" is extremely popular. By combining traditional seed bead techniques with a variety of other jewelry methods, jewelry makers can dramatically expand the type of seed bead jewelry they make. From learning established seed bead stitches to mastering a few simple wire and stringing steps, this book shows beginners through advanced bead weavers how to make seed bead jewelry with a designer flair. Beginners will find enough detailed instructions to help them get started with the craft while more advanced jewelry makers will find it helpful because it will provide new ideas for using stitches in different ways, allowing them to incorporate stone and crystal beads instead of using seed beads alone for their jewelry designs. The author takes the reader on a tour of bead weaving including providing information about the different kinds of seed beads including sizes and types, plus descriptions of the various supplies needed. She doesn't limit her discussion to only two types of stitches, but provides instructions for ten different stitches before delving into the how-to's for ten different breathtaking jewelry projects, including diamond coral and gaspeite earrings, a lacey emerald anklet, radiant zircon earrings, and much more.

Vacations never end when you've scrapbooked their special memories in original ways. Inventive techniques and materials, shown in inspiring sample pages, are especially suitable for recapturing the fun associated with 'getting away from it all'. It's easy to imaginatively draw attention to photographs by adding decorative accents that relate to your subject. If you've taken a picture of a flower-laden veranda, for example, place dried flowers near it. Don't forget to include keepsakes from your trip like travel tickets and documents. Mementos, such as a charm bracelet or foreign coins, will instantly evoke a time and a place. Placing these treasures in a transparent plastic pouch will allow them to be easily seen as well as protected. Small reproductions of paintings and prints of the locale you visited will immediately transport you back. Headline pages by creating lettering that ties into your theme. If you've traveled to Florence, spell out the name of the city on tiles like those you might see in Italy. A single title across two pages connects disparate items featured on each. Let the patterns, textures, and colors of the papers and artifacts you choose reflect each location. Try faux-animal prints to remind you of a visit to Africa and copper accents to suggest the grandeur of India. Use unevently torn tissue to expand the vista beyond the page to evoke a misty mountainside from a past trip. All the wonderful places you see while away from home can be remembered again as you look through your scrapbook.
