A pleasingly entertaining representation of worlds colliding and dimensions interweaving. This book is not for the prudish or faint of heart.
Author: Lisa Marie Ciofani
In the realms of the unseen entities at play here all around us is war. They cause things to happen here for various reasons. Full of erotica and spiritual interaction, this work of fiction borrows from real life experiences. Although the depictions are based in reality, the accounts and characters are, for the most part, fictional. For those who wonder what's going on in the spirit realms while certain events unfold, this book can provide the clues. A pleasingly entertaining representation of worlds colliding and dimensions interweaving. This book is not for the prudish or faint of heart. It delves into subject matter that is very sensual and spiritual in nature and may contain scenarios that are taboo to some. Depictions of fantasy melded with reality are super graphic and place the reader right there in the moments of ecstasy with the characters. Stalked through space and time and multiple dimensions by a beautiful dark one, the main character is driven to complete the mission so that they can once again be together. It's more than a love story full of satisfying encounters. There's the hidden factor that overwhelms the aware. A must read for all who are entertained by extreme fantasy situations.
The postcolonial aura: Third World criticism in the age of global capitalism. Oxford: Westview Press. Portello, B. (Producer), & Diaz, P. (Director).
Author: George J. Sefa Dei
This book grounds particular struggles at the curious interface of skin, body, psyche, hegemonies and politics. Specifically, it adds to current [re]theorizations of Blackness, anti-Blackness and Black solidarities, through anti-colonial and decolonial prisms. The discussion challenges the reductionism of contemporary polity of Blackness in regards to capitalism/globalization, particularly when relegated to the colonial power and privileged experiences of settler. The book does so by arguing that this practice perpetuates procedures of violence and social injustice upon Black and African peoples. The book brings critical readings to Black racial identity, representation and politics informed by pertinent questions: What are the tools/frameworks Black peoples in Euro-American/Canadian contexts can deploy to forge community and solidarity, and to resist anti-Black racism and other social oppressions? What critical analytical tools can be developed to account for Black lived experiences, agency and resistance? What are the limits of the tools or frameworks for anti-racist, anti-colonial work? How do such critical tools or frameworks of Blackness and anti-Blackness assist in anti-racist and anti-colonial practice? The book provides new coordinates for collective and global mobilization by troubling the politics of “decolonizing solidarity” as pointing to new ways for forging critical friends and political workers. The book concludes by offering some important lessons for teaching and learning about Blackness and anti-Blackness confronting some contemporary issues of schooling and education in Euro-American contexts, and suggesting ways to foster dialogic and generative forums for such critical discussions.

There is something special about Alfa Romeo cars which can’t be defined precisely but is, perhaps, best described as a vitality that creates a symbiosis between driver and machine: a oneness that no other marque seems to replicate. Alfa’s Berlinas have always tended to be overshadowed by their spotlight-grabbing Coupé and Spider siblings, but enthusiasts with family car needs have always known that any saloon/sedan with the famous Alfa Romeo badge would deliver pure driving pleasure in equal measure. Here is the full story of Alfa’s quirky but characterful Berlinas, from their beginnings in the early 1900s through to the start of a new millennium. Not only does the book describe and picture every model, it also contains useful information on restoring classic Alfa Romeos and details of marque specialists.

The largest and most important country in Latin America, Brazil was the first to succumb to the military coups that struck that region in the 1960s and the early 1970s. In this authoritative study, Thomas E. Skidmore, one of America's leading experts on Latin America and, in particular, on Brazil, offers the first analysis of more than two decades of military rule, from the overthrow of João Goulart in 1964, to the return of democratic civilian government in 1985 with the presidency of José Sarney. A sequel to Skidmore's highly acclaimed Politics in Brazil, 1930-1964, this volume explores the military rule in depth. Why did the military depose Goulart? What kind of "economic miracle" did their technocrats fashion? Why did General Costa e Silva's attempts to "humanize the Revolution" fail, only to be followed by the most repressive regime of the period? What led Generals Geisel and Golbery to launch the liberalization that led to abertura? What role did the Brazilian Catholic Church, the most innovative in the Americas, play? How did the military government respond in the early 1980s to galloping inflation and an unpayable foreign debt? Skidmore concludes by examining the early Sarney presidency and the clues it may offer for the future. Will democratic governments be able to meet the demands of urban workers and landless peasants while maintaining economic growth and international competitiveness? Can Brazil at the same time control inflation and service the largest debt in the developing world? Will its political institutions be able to represent effectively an electorate now three times larger than in 1964? What role will the military play in the future? In recent years, many Third World nations--Argentina, the Philippines, and Uruguay, among others--have moved from repressive military regimes to democratic civilian governments. Skidmore's study provides insight into the nature of this transition in Brazil and what it may tell about the fate of democracy in the Third World.
